A wing walker by profession, Jana Leigh has traveled extensively, performing her daring wing walking feats for crowds both locally and throughout the U.S. She began her career in early 2004 at the Flying Circus Aerodrome in Bealeton ,Virginia when a friend took her there to see the air show. She was captivated as she watched the agile Wing Walker carefully maneuver himself across the wing of a 450 Stearman biplane. Her first reaction was, " How can this be legal? " And then she thought to herself, " I want to do that! " After the show, and out of curiosity, she asked if the flying circus was looking for another wing walker. She was told that they were , in fact, looking and that if she was serious, to follow up with an audition. She was very serious ! Jana Leigh passed the audition, and now nearly 20 years later, you can still find her suspended from the wing of an airplane high above the ground. Adventure lives in her soul! Jana Leigh DeSantis Sheaffer is also an author, transformational speaker, pilot, and avid aviation enthusiast. Her speaking engagements are geared toward inspiring the audience to realize their true passions, potentials and dreams. What may seem impossible isn't if you have the right mindset – she is living proof of that!
