Maame Nyamekye joined NAR in 2021. As Staff Attorney, Maame handles a variety of contractual matters and provides ongoing legal counsel to NAR, including internal groups and teams, and NAR’s subsidiaries and affiliates. She provides legal counsel to NAR’s REALTOR® Benefit Program advising on strategic alliance agreements. Maame also serves as legal counsel to the REALTOR® Relief Foundation and REALTOR® Fund for Global Assistance where she assists with corporate governance, state and federal compliance, and advises on the charitable activities. Maame serves as the staff executive for NAR’S Risk Management Issues Committee.

Maame’s legal career commenced as an intern at the Supreme Court of the United States and, following law school, she went into private practice where she represented nonprofit organizations, including associations and religious organizations, and small businesses.

Maame received her B.B.A. degree in Business Administration from Marymount University and graduated cum laude from the University of Baltimore School of Law. Maame is admitted to practice law in Maryland, the District of Columbia, and before the Supreme Court of the United States.
