Dolly Matten
CEO
Greater Lakes Association of REALTORS®
Dolly became a REALTOR® in 2002, and during her first 16 years, she found herself in many precarious situations. The position required her to travel throughout the entire state, so often, she found herself in unfamiliar territories and remote places. It was then that she realized what a dangerous profession it could be. She obtained her 2nd-degree black belt in Soo Bahk Do (Korean martial arts) in 1998; she advocates for every man, woman, and child to try any Self Defense Course even though her best defense system is her instinct. Dolly is passionate about safety and strives to promote awareness amongst all members. Becoming complacent in our everyday habits, taking shortcuts, or risking personal safety to secure a sale is often a mistake even the most seasoned agents can make. In 2018, Dolly became the Executive Director of her local association. Currently, she serves as the AEC Representative of the 2022 NAR’s REALTOR® Safety Advisory Committee to help bring awareness to the forefront of every member’s business practice.
