For over a decade, Jakeeva has spent her career in membership driven and association-based organizations. Her expertise as a strategic association management leader is rooted by strong organizational, governance, member engagement and philanthropic strategy. Jakeeva’s passion especially seeks to holistically advance diverse, multicultural and inclusion engagement efforts in across all organizational functions.
She currently oversees several of the association’s member and community engagement outreach initiatives. In her role, she oversees the CAR Foundation (501-c3) Board of Trustees, with a $1.4 million budget and providing over $150,000 in annual scholarships, charitable grants and more. In 2015, she successfully managed the launch and duties of the CAR Industry and Multi-Cultural Partnership program (the first local REALTOR® partnership program of its kind). Additionally, she oversees the Diversity (The D77) Committee, which appoints a Chicago REALTOR® to represent each of the city’s 77 communities. Through member impact and community influence, she also manages the association’s fair housing and diversity, equity & inclusion education and outreach. Additionally, she oversees the Global Real Estate Council, of which she implemented new strategic initiatives to elevate the committee to platinum level status (as recognized by the National Association of REALTORS). Furthermore, as staff liaison to the CAR Young Professionals Network in 2016, she helped lead the win for the “Large Network of the Year” award.
In 2019, she was contracted with the state REALTOR® association, Illinois REALTORS®, with over 50,000 members. In this role, she launched and oversees 17 partnerships within the Industry & Multi-Cultural Partners program, as well as the Global Business Forum, statewide.
Jakeeva received her B.S., in Finance, with a minor in Business Management from Roosevelt University. She holds the At Home with Diversity certification (AHWD), Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS) designation and is currently working towards her Certified Association Executive (CAE) certification. She is an active member and DELP Scholar of American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) and Association Forum. Some of her proudest recognitions include 2020 Forty Under Forty recipient, 2020 President’s Award from the Chicago Association of REALTORS® and 2022 Chair of the Young Professionals Sig. In her spare time, Jakeeva enjoys beach vacations, writing poetry, spa-days and being the best “Auntie Kee Kee” to her three nieces and two nephews.
