Travis Kessler has served the REALTOR® organization for 40-plus years, including more than 20 years as a local association executive, first with the Greater Forth Worth Association of REALTORS® and then the San Antonio Board of REALTORS® (SABOR). As president and CEO of Texas REALTORS®, Kessler is the chief executive of one of the largest professional membership organizations in Texas, with more than 140,000 members and a staff of 75. Kessler has a long history of service at the state and national levels of the REALTOR® organization. He has chaired the National Association of REALTORS® Strategic Planning Committee and the Texas REALTORS® Strategic Planning Committee. He has been named to the Swanepoel Power 200 list of most influential people in the real estate industry for the past five years. Kessler received the Tom D. Morton Award twice, which recognizes the Texas REALTORS® local association executive of the year. In 2009, Kessler received the William R. Magel Award, the highest honor the National Association of REALTORS® bestows on a REALTOR® association executive.
