Dr. Gray is an Iowa native that first attended Iowa State University and later completed his Ph.D. at the University of Wyoming focusing on growth and development as it related to meat quality. He coached several meat judging teams for the university that culminated in an unprecedent five national contest victories as well as the Reserve National Champion team in 2015. Upon graduation, he accepted a feedlot consultant role with a regional feed company in the Midwest where he assisted cattle producers in making economic decisions pertaining to growing feedstuffs, rations, and cattle marketing. For the past two years, he has worked for Diamond V as a Feedlot Technical Consultant. In this role, he supports cattle nutritionists and their customers in the field with optimizing health and efficiency through drawing on his previous experiences as well as conducting TMR audits.
