Dr. Sandy Tou works as an assistant professor at the North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine in Raleigh, NC. Sandy received her undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland, followed by her DVM from the University of Florida. After her internship, she completed a residency in small animal internal medicine at UF and worked as an internist in Los Angeles for several years before returning to the east coast. She completed a cardiology residency at NCSU in 2010, becoming board-certified in both cardiology and small animal internal medicine. Dr. Tous interests include heart failure therapy and interventional cardiology for congenital heart disease. She also greatly enjoys teaching the next generation of veterinarians. In her spare time, she also enjoys cooking and travelling with her family.
