Emily Edstrom has been practicing veterinary dentistry and oral surgery for nearly ten years. After earning her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Colorado State University in 2010, she continued her training in the Washington, DC metro area by completing an Internship at VCA Veterinary Referral Associates in Gaithersburg, MD followed by a Residency in Dentistry & Oral Surgery at the Center for Veterinary Dentistry and Oral Surgery in Gaithersburg, MD. She became a Diplomate of the American Veterinary Dental College in 2016. Dr. Edstrom currently practices as a Veterinary Dentist & Oral Surgeon at BluePearl Pet Hospital in Arden Hills, Minnesota. She enjoys all aspects of oral surgery, including root canals treatment, extractions and periodontal therapy, but she is particularly interested in treating maxillofacial fractures/trauma and different forms of oral tumors. Highlights of her career have included collaborating with local zoos and treating numerous military and police dogs working in the DC and Minneapolis metro areas. Dr. Edstrom is also active in the American Veterinary Dental College, having served as the past Chair of the Colleges Examination Committee and actively participating in various committees.
