Kim Horne graduated from the University of Minnesota, Technical College of Waseca.  After working in a few private practices, she joined the U of M Veterinary Medical Center and found her career passion in Dermatology.  Although she has recently retired, Kim is still active in her state association (MAVT) and is a Charter Member and Co-Founder of the Academy of Dermatology Veterinary Technicians (ADVT).  She was ADVT’s first President and is currently serving as Secretary and Exam Committee Chair. Kim has lectured Internationally and authored journal articles as well as being co-editor of the Small Animal Dermatology for Technicians and Nurses book.
