Julia Wilson, DVM, DACVIM is Executive Director of the Minnesota Board of Veterinary Medicine. She is a member of several MVMA committees: Equine Issues, CE, and Governmental Affairs as well as an ex-officio member of the Board of Directors. Her career includes veterinary faculty positions at the Universities of Florida and Minnesota, racetrack regulatory work, mixed animal practice in Virginia and equine practice in New Hampshire. As an internist, her focus has been equine infectious diseases, gastroenterology and neonatology. She is a past member of the Board of Directors of the AAEP and Heifer International. Julie is co-founder and current president of the Equitarian Initiative, a non-profit that trains veterinarians to provide health care and education for working equids.
