Managing Mast Cell Tumors

Mast cell tumors are the most common skin cancer diagnosed in dogs and have a wide range of biologic behavior - some will be cured with surgery and others will metastasize quickly and be life limiting for the patient. This talk will review staging for mast tumors, current recommendations for surgical margins, and mast cell tumor grading schemes. We will also discuss management of high-grade mast cell tumors as well as newer treatments such as Stelfonta?.
