Tom Slater is a licensed professional engineer and pilot from Raleigh, North Carolina. Tom makes a living as an engineering consultant at airports across the US and Pacific. In his spare time he is a professional public address announcer for high school and NCAA football and basketball. Tom owns a 2008 Cessna 172SP and is a commercial, instrument rated pilot. He is AOPA's Airport Support Network volunteer for the Raleigh Durham International Airport, former president of EAA Chapter 506 and a member of the NC Airports Association. Tom served in the US Navy reserve and is a FAA FAAST team safety representative from the Greensboro district FSDO.
