Artificial Intelligence Transforms Flight Training

Glenn Kowack has been a private pilot since 1977 and a lifelong entrepreneur working to bring exciting new technologies into wide use. He is a principal in TakeFlight Interactive, which has developed one of the first artificially intelligent virtual flight instructors. AI training is in use in University flight schools, the Civil Air Patrol, EAA Chapters, and aviation high schools across the country. It is also being adapted for use in USAF and USN Navy flight training. Glenn leads TakeFlight business development and youth outreach and has introduced real flying skills on economical PC simulators to schools and many individuals, and over 1,200 young people via more than 100 youth events including Young Eagle Rallies, Girls in Aviation, NW Aviation Conference, and AirVenture. Glenn is a member of the Boards of Directors of EAA 1067 Naples, FL, and EAA 66 Ft. Myers where he runs their AI flight training programs. He has a BS in Math/Computer Science, and a BA in Psychology, both from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
